How to finish the table runner ..

It doesn't look too bad! infact I'm quite pleased with it, especially after putting two borders of red and green plain.

I'm not quite sure how to "finish" it off, I'll have to have a think and consult my quilt-y pals for ideas! Our table will look quite festive this year!

its GREAT! really! really REALLY GREAT! I love it!!!
There are a couple of ways to finish it. You could put piping around the edge, then stitch the back to it, right sides together, leaving an opening to turn it, or you can put binding around the whole thing after you quilt it.. it is your choice. Either way would look good..

ohhh! the piping sounds fabulous! and different! THANKS for the suggestion Debs!! what do you think about using the whiter patterned fabric for piping? I must go and fling some strips at it!

yes the whiter one would be a good contrast, and continue that color out to the edge.. Brilliant idea!

I did it as you suggested and it looks NICE! what foot have you got for piping? I just used the no.4 zip foot and it wasn't terribly "close".
